屋顶的表示

只有the roof of the house,没有 the house' roof 这种用法

roof本身已经含有屋顶的含义
所以通常单说roof
但是相对来讲比较常用的是the roof of the house

直接说roof不可以吗？
如果一定要加house的话，我觉得是前者比较好．
相关的表达还有
the roof of the world 世界屋脊;
the roof of heaven 天空
the roof of the mouth 上颚

直接用roof就可以了。
roof: the structure that covers or forms the top of a building, vehicle, tent etc.
本身的意思就已经包含了房屋本身了，再加上house就已经是画蛇添足了。

一般要特指,因为一个房子的屋顶只有一个,the roof ....的表达方式更加的地道.
