1、Dear Sirs,
In consideration of your signing a clean Bill of Lading for the under-mentioned cargo: 2000 tons of rice in bags shipped by M.V. “Kiu Kiang” from Bombay to Abadan in such a condition as noted on the Mate’s Receipt at the time of shipment that thirty two bags of rice were slightly water-stained, we and/or our principals hereby guarantee to hold you or any of you and/or agents perfectly free from any consequences that may arise from your omission of the remarks in the Bill of Lading.
Further, should any claims be lodged for the aforesaid damage by the consignee at the port of destination, we the undersigned, hereby undertake to keep you or any of you and/or agents harmless and indemnified against any losses, damages and expenses which you or any of you and/or agents may suffer in connection with the delivery of the said goods. In case you find yourselves in the above mentioned position, you or any of you and/or agents are authorized to disclose this Let
