I have to wonder if this is the Iraqi equivalent to a telephone junction box. The picture cannot do justice to the spectacular tangle of wires
that lace the Iraqi urban landscape.

We were doing some surveillance from a rooftop. Not the most pleasant job in the world, and the sun was beating down pretty viciously. I can
only imagine what this task will be like when the temperature tops 120 in the summer!! It was interesting actually getting to the rooftop. The
families living in the building were quite alarmed to see heavily armed American soldiers noisily making their way up the narrow, dark stairwell.
There was some female type screaming, and male yelling and gesticulating. Once we'd settled in up top, however, they actually prepared tea
for us.
