序数词前要不要加the?

不分情况，都要加，不加的时候是另外的意思了。如FIRST.
Sunday is the first day of the week.
星期日是每周的第一天。
They first met in 1980.
他们头一次见面是在1980年。
I must finish my homework first.
我必须首先做完家庭作业.

注：序数词在使用时，通常前面要加定冠词 the；但是如果序数词前出现不定冠词a或an时，则表示“再——”，“又——”。

We\\\'ll go over it a second time． 我们得再念第二遍。
