如果是2个东西比较，而且有ONE OF...那就一定要加THE

the +比较级的意思是在2个当中比较,如:
My father is the taller of my parents.
或者可以这样用:the 比较级,the 比较级,意思是越怎么样就越怎么样,如:the more the better.
而比较级就是和别人比较,如:
His hair is shorter than hers.

THE+比较级的是越来越的意思,往往是THE MORE......,THE MORE...的类型

一般比较级就没有这个意思,常常与THAN联用是和某物比较的意思
