特里马滑雪其实早就有了，但是上世纪40年代退出了舞台。后来90年代的时候美国人又把它拣起来了，随着最近10年滑雪板以及固定器技术的飞跃发展，使得特里马滑雪能够重现舞台。特里马滑雪就是一种滑雪转弯时候一种曲膝技术，由于脚后跟可以抬起来，这样膝盖可以有更大的自由度。双板滑雪非常重要的是膝盖的运用，给膝盖增加了一个自由度无疑是多了一个技巧方向。后来我发现很多大雪场大概有10%的人玩特里马滑雪，姿势非常舒展，但是由于装备目前价钱很贵，没有多少人能负担得起。

What is telemark?

You've probably seen skiers floating down the slopes at your local hill, their heels moving freely on their skis. Knees drop low on each turn as they gracefully make their way down the mountain. These, as you may have guessed, are telemark skiers.

Telemark refers to a type of turn, first developed in the Telemark region of Norway. Telemark allows a stable and controlled turn on skis when heels are not attached. Telemark style essentially disappeared after the advent of alpine skiing equipment with locked heels.
