1. Could you tell me what is the matter.
你 能 不 能 告 诉 我 这 是 怎 麽 回 事 ？
"What is the matter" 是 你 的 问 句 。 如 用
what the matter is 就 不 成 问 句 了 。 你 可 以
说 I don't know what the matter is about.
2. I will not leave if Amy does not come tonight.
前 面 用 will 说 的 是 你 的 意 向 。 后 面 用
does 说 的 是 情 况 ， 而 非 Amy 的 意 向 。
