another是另一个
other可只其他的一个也可指多个.后加名词

1) 泛指另一个用another。
2) 一定范围内两者，一个用one，另一个the other
3) 一定范围内三者，一个用one，另一个one (another)，第三个可用the other，a third
4) 一个整体，除去一些，剩余的全部the others

我觉得你区别不了的可能不是another和other，而是another和the other.
