收入分配与差距问题历来都是世界很多学者所研究的课题，但在20世纪以前由于经济的不发达，因此没有得到足够的重视。二次世界大战以后，世界经济得到了快速的发展，收入差距问题逐渐引起了人们的关切。我国自改革开放后，城镇居民的收入差距问题才逐渐的严重化。尤其是进入21世纪，随着我国逐渐走上了与世界接轨的道路以及市场经济体制的逐步完善，城镇居民的收入差距逐步扩大。
本文主要从五个部分对我国城镇居民的收入差距问题进行了探析。第一部分主要介绍了进行此篇文章的背景，目的以及意义等。从第二部分开始即进入正题，第二部分介绍了完成这篇文章所需要的理论知识，主要介绍了洛伦茨曲线及由其衍生的基尼系数，同时还介绍了相关的分配理论。第三部分为文章的重点部分，主要介绍了我国城镇居民收入差距的现状及形成这种差距的原因，这部分运用了大量的实证数据来定量的分析了我国城镇居民收入差距扩大的问题。第四部分介绍了我国城镇居民收入差距扩大对经济和社会的影响，包括对政治和文化方面的影响等。最后一部分是在前面几个部分论述的基础之上，提出了缓解城镇居民收入差距逐步扩大的问题的几点建议。
解决我国收入差距扩大化的问题，不是一朝一夕的事情，也不是某领导阶层独自能够解决的。他需要全社会的共同努力，只有这样，这个问题才能得到有效的控制和缓解。
