摘 要
随着我国经济和旅游业的迅速发展，带薪休假、分时度假等无不刺激着国内旅游，而且2008年北京奥运会和2010年上海世博会的临近，市场对方便、干净、舒适而又经济的住宿需求越来越强烈。此时，经济型酒店的发展，顺应了未来酒店发展和经济发展的趋势，满足了我国人民生活水平提高后对酒店住宿设施的要求。它以低廉的房价、标准的服务为最大卖点，逐步成为酒店业界新贵。
在欧美及日本等发达国家，经济型酒店是一种发展得非常成熟而且成功的酒店经营模式。目前，我国经济的不断发展和市场需求的不断变化，为经济型酒店的发展提供了一个巨大的市场。国际酒店集团己开始抢占这一市场，面对这一形式，抢占经济型酒店市场也就成为中国旅游业发展的重要战略之一。本论文叙述了经济型酒店的概念，简述了经济型酒店的基本情况、特征及其经营理念，以及经济型酒店在我国发展的优势、劣势、机会和威胁，分析了经济型酒店在我国的市场前景，为经济型酒店的进一步发展提出了自己的见解，对我国经济型酒店发展具有一定的参考价值和实践意义。
