污泥在用过滤或离心的方法机械脱水时,通常要进行预处理,即通过向污泥中投加各种凝聚剂,使污泥颗粒絮凝、结构增强以利于机械脱水。一般脱水污泥的含水率可达80 %左右,但要使污泥的含水率降到更低的水平比较困难,必须开发其他的预处理方法。本论文针对大连开发区污水处理厂现有的污泥预处理技术—添加高分子絮凝（PAM）的基础上，将表面活性剂（土温、十二烷基本磺酸钠、甜菜碱）与PAM联合使用，以降低PAM的使用量，同时提高剩余污泥的脱水率。实验结果表明：在用真空过滤方法脱水，对于新取剩余污泥，添加PAC、甜菜碱后，污泥的含水率分别降低了6%和1.3%。 在用离心方法脱水时, 对于新取剩余污泥，添加十二烷基本磺酸钠、甜菜碱后，污泥脱水率分别提高了2.2%和1.1%；对于厌氧剩余污泥，添加十二烷基本磺酸钠后，污泥的脱水率提高了2.6%；对于好氧剩余污泥，添加甜菜碱后，污泥的脱水率提高了6.1%。表面活性剂能提高污泥沉降和脱水性能的主要原因是, 它不但能使污泥表面的蛋白质、多糖等大分子物质脱离污泥颗粒, 而且使得这些物质较易溶于水,减少了污泥颗粒间的间隙水, 导致污泥的沉降速度加快、脱水污泥的体积减少。
