一个很简单的though和but的问题

这句话里的though 和but 可以一起用，这个句子的基本结构是：something is not ... but ...，这里的but确实不是"但是" 的意思。

though and but都有转折的作用，但在一个具体的句子中,两个连词只能保留其中的一个。例如：
We are from different countries,but we all get along(相处)well.
Though we are from different countries,we all get along well.
Chen and Huang are Chinese, but they are not from China.
They're from Malaysia. They're overseas Chinese(华侨).

because和so两个连词也是如此，前面使用了because，后面就不能出现so。后面出现了so，前面就不能出现because。例如：
Because the Wangs are such goog neighbors，I am lucky.
The Wangs are goog neighbors，so I am lucky.

Although和but也同样呀！例如：
Although the people were friendly，I missed my family，my friends and the lifestyle in my hometown.
虽然那里的人们都很友善，但我还是想念故乡的家人、朋友以及生活方式。
The people were friendly，but I missed my family，my friends and the lifestyle in my hometown. 意思也相同吆。

要记住:在英语句子中，两个分句只能由一个连词连接，而but是连词，所以不能与同是连词的although或though用在同一个句子中。
