no matter 后面一定要跟疑问词么？

这句话有误吗?
no matter it's a secret or truth.
或者 no matter whether it's a secret or truth.

注：以上句子均为从句。。。
这两个例句有正确的么？

举例:
no matter where you are
no matter how you are
no matter what you do
你那句话,用WHETHER的话,不能同时加secret or truth的吧好像.... no matter whether it's a secret or not
no matter whether it's a truth or not
都加时...no matter it is a secret or truth.去掉WHETHER和IF
应该是这样的..

因为no matter的意思是“无论”
所以后面应该是疑问性质的从句。
而且后面对是2者之间的选择
