1、The house at the corner was caught fire and soon burnt down.
去掉it,因为前边已有主语，不用再重复。
2.The whole village was destroyed and over 300 people lost their lives in the war.
将life改为复数，因为是300条人命，要加复数。
3.China is a developing country belonged to the 3rd world.
因为3th是序数词，所以前面固定要加the.
4.Never give up before difficult and hardship ,do you?
give up 是固定词组，意为“放弃”
5.Why not ask the police for help when you are in trouble?
"why not..."系固定结构，意为“为什么不。。。”
1。或者可以在and前加逗号 因为原文中and 连着两个句子 是有语法错误的
