Many firms ,have great difficulty in obtaining books because they are unwilling to have their names entered as having taken out such and such a book .我想知道as在这里的用法,是连词吗,或者介词? 新概念的翻译是:因为他们不想让人家记下它们公司的名字和借阅的某一本书. as被翻译成了"和",本人有点理解不了....
新概念是权威的,我想知道准确的解释,一楼你的回答也太没水平了吧.......

可以理解为they are unwilling to have their names entered as they have taken out such and such a book .因为they为逻辑主语，主动（公司借阅的某一本书），所以可以省略为 as having taken out such and such a book
有表示原因、起因的含义，也有伴随、表时间同步的含义。
介词

介词.as不是作"和"讲,我也解释不好.类似I am unwilling to be thought as a selfish girl .中as 的用法吧.

表示时间同步。相当于WHILE
