他比班上的任何人都高。
因为他比除了他之外的，不可能是比他自己高，所以用了else，来说明示比他除了他之外的人高。
正如楼上所说，else 是修饰anyone的。

修饰anyone吖

是形容词呀 后面的形容词修饰前面的 这和something special是一个意思的！

P。S。 是taller than吧
