此曲出自美国80年代黑人女子组合Klymaxx的第四张专辑《Meeting in the Ladies Room》，1984年出品。“I Miss You”是该组合最成功的单曲，在当年Billboard R&B榜上排第11位，Billboard Hot 100上排第5位，令人惊讶的是这首歌后劲十足，一直到两年后也就是1986年才离开Hot 100榜，这是比较罕见的。因为表现优秀，直接推动了整张专辑的销售，《Meeting in the Ladies Room》最终达到了白金销量。
