被称为物理女王的吴建雄（1912— ），出生于江苏，1936年到美国加洲大学学习，获得博士学位后一直留在美国，成了著名的美籍华裔物理学家。 吴建雄生前关心中国科技事业的发展，从1973年起多次来中国讲学，1992年在东南大学建立了吴建雄实验室，1997年2月16号，吴建雄女士因心脏病逝世。

1912年5月31日生于江苏流河，1934年毕业于南京中央大学。 On May 31, 1912, born in Jiangsu stream, in 1934 graduated from the Central University in Nanjing.
1936年去美国加利福尼亚大学留学，1940年获博士学位。 In 1936 the University of California to the United States to study in 1940 of a doctorate.
1942年与物理学家袁家骝在美国结婚。 Physicists in 1942 and married her husband in the United States.
