any和no 后面接的名词怎么有时候是单数，而有时候是复数？

譬如：
No student is to leave the room. 单数
No dogs in the restaurant. 复数
Take any book you like. 单数
I have not read any books by Tolstoy. 复数

强调的意指不同，如使用单数形式，则表示强调个体，
No student is to leave the room
所有学生（每一个人）都不许离开房间

而复数形式则强调集群
I have not read any books by Tolstoy
我尚未读过托尔斯泰的任何（系列）作品
