UC知道that可以作关系副词吗??

我举几个例子,请大家分析一下.
1.表示方式时:The way (that\in which) he behaves is good.
这里的that\in which作从句中的什么成分?宾语吗?还有这里关系词是关系代词还是关系副词?that\in which能用where替代吗?
2.表示地点时:I have never been to the places (that\where\in which) the Indians live.这里关系词如果用了where充当从句的状语,in which亦如是,那用that的话它充当什么呢?还是状语吗?还是不是任何成分?
还有的表示时间和原因的我不列举了,问题主要是that在从句中充当什么?

1.在这里做定语从句的引导词，是关系代词，修饰way的定语从句的引导词只能用that\in which或者不加。
2.第二句这样用是不对的。如果用that，live后面必须加一个介词in。因为that只能在定语从句中做主语，宾语或表语。不能做状语。
