PAREZ® 631 NC resin is compatible with most commonly
used wet-end paper chemicals.
1. Sizing agents - PAREZ® 631 NC resin can be used
with synthetic sizes or rosin size and alum. The resin
should be added after the rosin size has been fixed
to the fiber with alum. Improved sizing is usually
obtained.
2. Changes to PAREZ® 631 NC resin from polyamide
wet strength, melamine formaldehyde or urea
formaldehyde resin-treated furnishes can be readily
accomplished. PAREZ® 631 NC resin, however, should
not be used in make-up equipment in which
formaldehyde-containing materials have been used
unless the system is first flushed with water.
