Pride can be both positive and negative.
To be proud means that you are much-pleased and feeling pride about something you have done.

Proud But Not Prideful骄傲但不傲慢
It's ok to feel pleasurable satisfaction over an act, possession, quality, or relationship by which one measures one's stature or self-worth （骄傲）
but overly so could be harmful.

Situations for a healthy amount of pride:
1. good test results after studying hard
2. success in business after hardworking
3. winning a sport game after overcoming adversaries, such as not giving up after an initial loss, after an injury
4. parents being proud
