in which的用法

看一个例子，你就懂了。

This is the place in which he has ever lived .

This is the place which he has ever lived in .

This is the place where he has ever lived .

看懂啦？

你以为一看到where就是状语从句奥，看来你语法是有问题，where he has ever lived 肯定是定语从句哎，它修饰place 。where=in which

这个牵扯到两个从句的问题
例子：This is the house____he was born in.
这句是定语从句，之所以称之为从句，就是在提醒你要看所修饰的词在后面的句子中做的成分。这里，he was born in（the house）the house是in的宾语，故可填that或which
This is the house____he was born.
where可以看成是个复合关系代词，故可以分解为in which，进而变成介词提前的定语从句
（高中毕业很长时间了，很多概念记不清楚了，可能分析的不对，记得问老师确认一下）
