Coldplay feels the heat working on new album

Coldplay have spoken of the pressure they were subjected while working on their new album.
Frontman Chris Martin confirmed that work on the album is progressing with maverick producer Brian Eno.

"It feels like a very dense record. There are so many melodies and colours packed into a relatively short space," Martin said. "As you'd expect with Brian Eno, there's experimentation and exploration. But the music still has integrity. It's real and honest. There's no posturing or bombast."

"It's as if the pressure is a catalyst. The pressure to finish has triggered a new writing surge. However, the deadline still stands," he added.

The album will be the follow-up to 2005's smash hit X&Y.
