well, that depends on whats your area of interested, there are more than 40 courses to choose from in grade 12, e.g. chemistry, physics, biology, economics, family studies, accounting, gym, science, english, french, german, arts, design, drama, function and relations, vector calculus, history, geography...... what you have to do is before you got to canada, you have to make sure what's your interest, because when u apply to university, different major require different subjects, so yea, make sure u know what u doing and then pick the course base on your interest, e.g. if you want to be an engineer, then you have to do english, chemistry, physics, function and relation, vector calculus and biology for sure, plus three more course(could be anything), first thing first, find out what you are interested in, and then that's all, don't try to study in china, because half of the thing u learn yourself, they won't teach you and things they teach you, u will never understand
