为什么第一个standing前面没有is，而下面的要有is，不是现在进行式is+ing吗？

不是进行式，The man（ standing behind the counter），standing behind the counter做The man的定语，修饰的The man；The man who is standing behind the counter，standing behind the counter作who is的宾语 ，

指代当时(为我服务时)站在收银机后的那个人

不是现在进行时，在这里stand不是动词，"standing behind the counter”是the man的定语

第一，这里是用动词的现在分词做定语，修饰名词man，
第二，是定语从句，从句就是一个句子，需要有自己的谓语动词，所以要用现在进行式is+ing

这里做状语。修饰man。。the man standing。站着的那个人，表示伴随状态。

standing behind the counter 作定语，修饰 the man,表示所指的是站在柜台后面的那个人，而不是指其他人
