高一英语,这个句中的of为什么能这么用?

The astronaut did experiment in the spaceship,[which we think are of]much help for knowing space为何不选which we think it is

上面的后半句是做宾语从句的..
选which we think it is的话就应该是The experiment was done in the spaceship by the astronaut......后半句作主语从句...而且好像还是要加个of
大概就是这样吧...
我好久没摸过英语了....
