Application of ANN Model in Economics and Its Developments

Artificial Neural Network (ANN) theory is an extraordinary active borderline cross discipline which has important theoretical and practical implications for economic researches. ANN has obvious advantages in calculation methods and unique excellent characteristics (e.g. distributed storage, self-organization, self-adaptability, fault-tolerance), which determines that its role in future economic researches will be more and more important. Marking analysis of ANN'S characteristics, efficiency, and limitations in view of its economic applications, the article holds that ANN provides a powerful tool for economics researches, and it will become an important field of economic researches in the near future.
