思想品德新课程是集思想性、人文性、实践性和综合性与一体的课程，它以初中生逐步扩展的生活作为课程构建的基础，以帮助学生学习做负责任的公民、过积极健康的生活为追求，以坚持正确价值观念的引导与启发学生独立思考、积极实践相统一为基本原则，围绕着成长中的我、我与他人、我于集体、国家和社会等关系，整合道德、心理健康、法律和国情教育等内容，对学生进行教育。而幸福是人生追求的永恒主题和为之奋斗的强大动力。学习是提高自身生存本领、生活质量，提升生命意义的活动，学习的根本目的，就在于使生命过程有价值、有意义，使人生幸福。时代对教育提出了新的要求，我国基础教育课程改革正在不断深入，学生如果没有正确的幸福观引导，他们就可能去追求虚无缥缈的畸型的幸福；他们就可能在遇到新情况后无法自控或不知所措。加强初中生的幸福观教育，是成功实施课程改革的迫切需要。因此，本文将从幸福观教育的角度去研读《思想品德课程标准》（简称新课标）和《思想品德（七年级—九年级）》（简称新教材），开拓国内对幸福观教育在思想品德课程中实现研究的新视野，并对如何在思想品德课中实施幸福观教育提出建议。
