Liang JingRu is a famous singer from Malaysia. She names herself Fish Leong. Why did she call heself ‘Fish’? Because she likes fish a lot! she loves eating fish – steamed, fried and also, her name in Cantonese – Jing Yu – sounds like ‘steamed fish’ so all her friends called her ‘Ah Yu’.”

Fish went to Taiwan in 1999 and became famous because of the album <Courage>.

In the past, she was not sure what she wanted, so she just sang whatever she thought sounded nice. But now she is more certain of what she wants from her music, and have more say in what she wants to sing, she said she loved singing all the love songs and would keep singing them until the end. One thing is for sure, Leong is certainly more confident now than when she just started out 10 years ago.
