这句有没有错误,有的话帮忙修改下,develop的时态有问题吗,我要写的是过去时态

没有。不过有其他问题：assist in doing sth协助干某事
I went to the community committee as a volunteer to assist in developing their community service.

就把那develop加上ed就好了

The sentence should be like this:
I went to the community committee as a volunteer to assist them with the development of community service.

assist in developing their community

I joined in the community committee as a volunteer to assist the development of their community service.
