贝律铭小时候看见南京路上正在建一座新高楼，那就是国际饭店，据说要建24层。这怎么可能呢？年幼的贝律铭不相信可以盖那么高的楼，于是每个星期六都跑去看。看着它越建越高，终于成为当时亚洲的最高楼。这在贝律铭的心里埋下了“一颗种子”：我将来要是能建造这么高的大楼该多好啊！之后，他一生都在为童年时的这个梦想而奋斗，终于成为世界著名建筑设计大师。

Little 贝律铭 could never dreamt about building a skyscraper this tall, so he went there to see the new building every Saturday.
