the clock has hung on the wall in the hail for as long as anyone can remember. It never stop,butno one winds it. It is silent all year,except for 31st October - when it strikes the hours.
the pocket
the old raincoat hangs from a peg behind the door. No one own it,but people put it on to put the rubbish out or walk the dog .it has a very deep pocket. Its many wearers have never reached right down to thee bottom of the pocket- until today.
A man with a long coat
His coat covers his shoes and brush along the ground behind him. It fits him perfectly in every other way, from its crisply folded collar to its neatly stitched hem. And he wears it whatever the weather.
