典型的定语从句
1、Is this the museum WHERE your mother works?
先把它还原成陈述句：This is the museum WHERE you mother works.
This is the museum，是完整句子，后面只能是做定语。因为works是不及物动词，即you mother works是个完整句子了，只能认为先行词在定语从句中做地点状语，用关系副词。Where
2、Is this the museum THAT you visited the other day?
同样，因为Visited是及物动词，搭配成visited the museum.因此，先行词在定语从句作宾语，只能用 that/which 关系代词来填，但在一般疑问句中，更多用that而不用which.
1题取决于works，因为缺少的是works的补语，也就是"在哪里"，只有where含有"在"的意思，所以用副词where。2题缺少的是visit的宾语，用关系代词which，what不能做 定语从句的引导词，先行词museum做表语时，引导词不能用that
