几个关于新概念3的语法问题

以下英文释疑选自Merriam Webster学院字典电子版，电驴上有下载，有3.0和2.5两个版本，带发音，我推荐3.0，启动快^_^

1.______Charles started a job,he did it was finished.(B)
A.Since where B.Once till C.Each time once D.The moment as
过去时态，故而C（一般时态）和D（完成时态）不对。A的意思不对，since放句首或者带从句一般表示因果关系，相当于as

2.How many of us______say,a meeting that is irrelevant to us would be interested in the discuss?(B)
A.attended B.attending C.to attend D.have attended
分词作状语，A,B可选。但是B一般带有将来时态或者进行时态的意思，would be在这里是虚拟语气，不是过去时态。

3.he stood there as______as a stone.(A)
A.firm B.firmly C.still D.stilly
still隐含有静止的意思（devoid of or abstaining from motion)，firm则隐含有坚持，牢固的意思。选firm比选still贴切。同时 firm和still都是adj和adv同形，就是说他们都没有加ly变副词的形式

4.A good tale______for being twice told.(B)
A.is worse B.is none the worse C.is worst D.more the worse
习语。其他选项也不对。A,D比较级没有比较对象，D的worse前还多了个more；C的话要用the worst。比如我们都说the most important thing。

个人的tips:不必太强调语法，其实能明白就可以了。不然你看托福雅思GRE都没有专门靠语法。要的是语感
