还是不用被动“The number of XXX increases sharply”？

The number of XXX has increased sharply(现在完成时-至今为止)
The number of XXX is increasing sharply(现在进行时-目前正在)
这里 number是单数, 后面的助动词要用单数

数字是不可能自己增加的，所以要确定用被动语态。

该句也可这样写：The number of $$$ (are) increased sharply.

一般用主动的进行时态 be increasing sharply
