原型，因为could情态动词后面应该加原型动词，but 后引导的结构与“do nothing”地位相同，都是作为could后引导的原形动词。所以用原型。
记住这个原则：but 前有do 或can都要要省to（不是像楼上说的“地位相同”，这里也是做状语，只是将to省去了），
