1.D领导的是一个状语从句。A一般不会这样用在句首，B是现在进行时的被动语态，什么时候用它要根据具体的中文翻译。C一般用在句子里表示未发生的动作，可以做定语、状语等。首句应该是Because he is determined to ……，前后主语都一样，所以because he is 都可以省略。
2.用同样的办法，把首句写成一个完整的状语从句，然后把副词等省略掉。
