any other表示“其他的任何一个”由于any 表示“任何”因此其后只能接可数名词的单数

He performs better than any other classmate in the class.
他比任何其他同班同学的成绩都好。（= 他是全班最好的。）

This room is more expensive than any other room in the same hotel.
这个房间比同一酒店内任何其他房间的都昂贵。（= 这个房间租金最贵）

在比较级中 如：he is taller than any other student！
