一道很难判断的题目 一种说法是主语从句，一种说法是主语，两种答案各有千秋。
What matters most in learning English is enough practice.
第一种说法：
英语学习中最重要的就是勤练习。
matters不是谓语动词，这句话中What matters most in learning English是主语，is是谓语，practice宾语，in learning English做主语补足语。most在主语里修饰what matters
第二种说法：
matters在此是做谓语动词,意思为"要紧,重要"
例如:What matters most is giving the children a good start in life.
本句意思是:学习英语过程中，最重要是要有足够的练习。
most修饰matters,表示程度，最.....
是主语从句.在主语从句中What作主语,matters在此是做谓语动词,是不及物动词,没宾语.
看来你水平也是有限的，一个句子出现两套主谓宾有什么奇怪的，一个主句，一个从句。

第二种说法是不成立的. 即便是你给的例句What matters most is giving the children a good start in life.
这里的主语还是"what matters most", 谓语是is, 宾语是 giving the children a good start in life.
但这里的"giving" 听起来有些别扭, 比较常见的是用不定式to give, 当然用动名词做宾语也说的过去.
matter在这里不可能是不及物动词, 不然这句话就有两个谓语了.
