About sending email with "special" contents

I'm a student in HK, and I want to send some "special" information (hoping you guys could understand this) to my mainland friends. But I'm not sure weather it is "safe" enough. I mean will the network administrators find out these information and even my personal information?
Since I'm not familiar with this, I hope you can help me.

建议你找个简单的文本加密工具 加密一下
加密后的密文 密钥 和解密软件 分开发送 收到的人自己解密
