在网络上跟一位美国弗罗里达的肺癌4期患者交流，她说她付不起药钱所以她的医师为她填写了一些表格送到基因泰克，因为她符合标准所以基因泰克每月免费为她提供特罗凯。而且据她说这还不是特例……中国公民也可以这样么？？？谁知道？？

Because I cannot afford to pay for it. My oncologist office filled out forms and sent them to Genetech and I qualified to receive the drug free of charge. My oncologist office did all the paperwork. This is not an uncommon practice here. Many drug companies supply free medicines (especially high dollar ones) to those who cannot otherwise afford to take them. My Insurance policy is very limited - it does not pay for IV chemotherapy, nor did it pay for radiation. (The hospital paid all my bills for radiation and other tests.) It would definitely not pay for the Tarceva. Every month Genetech (the drug company that manufactures Tarceva) is called by me to let them know I am still on the drug and need a refill. They send it out by Fed Ex and I have it in 2 days.
