during the day和in the day都有"在白天，一天中"的意思，但during the day强调整个期间都在从事某件事 但in the day是指在白天干过某事，没有强调整个期间~
几乎没什么区别...
硬要解释的话,第一个是在这天时间的范围内,说的是范围,表达一个持续的动作.例如下雨.
第二个就用来讲你在这天所做的东西,表达是一个相对短的动作,一件事情吧.
