In the world today, thousands of crimes occur every single day. In fact, some crimes occur so often that we take them for something that is supposed to happen. In the process of doing so, we fail to realize that many crimes could be easily prevented. There are numerous ways an ordinary citizen could stand up to take control, and help prevent crime in their community. For example, one way could be to set up a neighborhood watch, or have a patrol keep guard of the area. That way, any suspicious actions would be immediately recorded. Also, one could learn his or her state and local laws on firearms. That way, one could insist that these laws be enforced vigorously, but fairly, as to ensure that people who don’t deserve possession of guns won’t be given them. These are just a few ways out of hundreds of others that could aid in crime prevention.
