This apple is twice bigger than that apple.= This apple is three times as big as that apple. 这样在数值上才等量: 这个苹果比那个苹果大两倍=这个苹果是那个苹果的三倍大.
前一句是这个苹果比那个苹果大两倍，也就是是它的三倍。后一句只是两倍。
