不可以，这里要用to be sent.
这是不定式表将来的用法，表示即将要。。。
如果只用sent，哪么就表示是过去式的被动语态，不能正确表达意思。（他说他下个星期五即将要参加一个会议，至少在他说话的时候还没有参加会议，所以他说的内容要在说之后发生，所以用过去将来时，这里用be to be done(过去将来被动语态）表示）
