expose是及物动词，后面要跟宾语，所以如果改成expose a foreign society就变成揭露外国社会了

我觉得 expose 那里没错也

expose 有个用法是 expose sb to sth 让某人接触到什么

而这里应该是中国人能接触到外国社会，chinese作主语，被动应该没错
