学生信息管理显然没有得到学校足够的重视。但是，如果能够很好的解决这个问题，那么将节省大量的人力物力。因为，手工操作进行学生信息管理，尤其是信息的更新，不仅要耗费大量的时间和人力，其保密性、可靠性都令人担心。而且在信息更新完成之后，信息的保存也是学校不得不面对的难题。
如果开发一个学生信息管理系统，这些问题将得到很好的缓解。这样一个系统不仅可以更快更准确的完成信息的更新等操作，在保密、信息保存等方面也有其得天独厚的优势。有了这样一个系统，既节省了大量人力物力，又节约了大量的时间，从而降低教务人员的工作压力，把更多的时间可以运用到提高教育质量上，复杂重复的工作很多都可以用MIS管理系统来完成。在这样的前提下，开发一个学生信息管理系统显的尤为必要。
