本文从嵌入式电子邮件系统的开发技术入手，以Windows CE为开发平台，结合Embedded Visual Basic 3.0开发工具设计实现的。通过对国内外邮件系统的研究，设计出自己独特的邮件系统，能实现邮件的安全收发，自互联网产生以来，电子邮件始终是一项重要的应用。当互联网还停留在实验室阶段时，电子邮件就成为ARPANET上最繁忙的业务，据ARPA在1973年的研究显示：在ARPANET的通信量中email占了75%。随后出现的通用的互联网网络体系结构，几乎无一例外地均把电子邮件作为一个重要的应用，从某种程度上说，是电子邮件成就了今天的互联网。
本论文的研究主体是邮件系统在WINDOWSCE嵌入式系统中的安全收发问题，通过对嵌入式系统和WINCE的了解，再去设计系统，让邮件能够安全的、顺利的发送于接收。
