本课题在查阅了大量资料文献的基础上，通过对各种方法进行对比筛选，利用了visual C++6.0及Pro/Engineer(以下简称Pro/E)的二次开发工具Pro/TOOLKIT对Pro/E进行了二次开发,使其不仅可以参数化生成零部件还具有自动装配的功能插件，通过XH786立式机床整机各个部件在装配过程中的约束关系来完成自动装配。使通过参数化生成的零件自动装配，完成整机的快速设计，缩短开发周期，大大提高效率。
